Neuroscience of electric fish gives jolt to advances in machine learning at WVU
Gianfranco Doretto will be the PI of a $2M grant awarded by the NSF. The goal of the project is to endow agents operating in the open world with the ability to continuously adapt to the environment. This will be achieved by developing new machine learning techniques with a biologically inspired design that will be distilled from a new study of the neural behavior of the electric fish.
